Apple Mac OSX App Store Opening Jan 6th

The App Store for Mac OSX applications will be opening on January 6th 2011. The App store will be available in 90 counties and will feature free and paid apps. 

The App store will be available as a Snow Leopard Update and will come bundled in OSX Lion next summer. Sorry but no support for OSX 10.5 or older.

If this App store ends been even half as successful as the iOS is. That will be good news for developers. And just as the iOS apple will keep 30% of app sales and pass the other 70% to the app developer.
