Squarespace vs Wordpress

Omar Morales This is a short comparasion betwen this to exelent blogging platforms.
I am writting this on my iPhone from the Squarespace app.
After trying Drupal, Joomla, Wordpress.com and a year with Wordpress.org I am happy I found out about Squarespace.
Drupal & Joomla are hell to work with.
Wordpress.com is free and easy but very limited.
Wordpress.org is a good platform and offer a bunch of customization.
But if you want to concentrate on writting vs managing the in and outs of your website then Squarespace is a better option.
Some people will said that Sqyarespace can offer to manage must of the task like SEO and other that you will normally do on wordpress becouse they charge you wile wordpress is free.
And technically they are right. Sqyarespace offer a better service becouse they are a paid service.
But that do not mean you do not pay with wordpress.org.
Wordpress is just the platform. You still have to find a hosting provider and pay to have it host.
Theirs are ton off cheap web host that will host your wordpress site. But are they reliable?
I decent hosting plan will set you back $8-20 a month.
And that's just for hosting. But with Squarespace you get a full suit of service starting at just $8 a month.
Plus on Wordpress add all the time you will spent setting and configurating and you will agree with me that Squarespace make more sense.
To try SquareSpace free for 14 days without the need of a Credit Card click on the SquareSpace icon at the right of this page.
