Facebook Loses Over 5 Million Users in the US

Facebook loss over 5 million US accounts in the last month or about 5% of the US market. It also lost almost 2 million Canadian accounts.
Facebook loses were reported in Norway, UK and Russia. But gains in Mexico and other countries helped offset the US decline pushing Facebook user close to 700 million worldwide accounts.
Privacy issues may be the cause of the US decline as more and more people find out that the benefits of having a FB account are not worth the risk.
