Why I Switched From Things to Wunderlist

I have been a long time user of Things For Mac and iPhone. I love how it makes having all the ToDo things organized.

But I hated that I needed to be on the same Wifi to Sync from the MacBook to the iPhone and to the iPhone to the iMac. I haven't downloaded the iPad app but I bet is the same process.

So I haven't been using it as much as before.

I recently came across Wunderlis and boy this is amazing. It has a Mac, iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows & Web apps and all of the are free not like the $49 desktop version for Things, $9.99 iPhone app and $19.99 iPad.

And the best part of all is that it Sync from the cloud to all your devices. Just create a free Wunderlist account and your ToDos will be in Sync.

The Apps are also beautifully designed and very easy to use. I will definitely recommend this app. Wunderlist along with Evernote make things so much easier.

I just switched from Things on iPhone & Mac to Wunderlist. My primary motivation is that I have to use a PC at my job and I need a tool that works on Windows, too.

Two things I'll miss about Things:

(1) The iPhone app only requires one "keystroke" to add a new task to the inbox. The Wunderlist iPhone app takes 2 to 4, depending on where you are, and on my IPhone 3, it takes a long time to repaint the screen that many times, to the point where I almost forgot what I wanted to say.

(2) Areas, Projects and Tagging. Actually, I'm not sure if I'll miss them or not. It's definitely a challenge to retrain my brain to think in terms of just "Lists", but so far far so good.

More later...
