For the last 3 years I have been using NetNewsWire for my RSS feeds. I use to love it and it has been a good experience overall.
But some things are missing from NNW like Twitter integration. It also looks kind of dated.
So I started looking for an alternative and after trying and I mean really trying several alternatives to NNW for about three months I finally find a better alternative.
For the last month I have been using Reeder For Mac (also available for iPhone & iPad) and I am sticking with it.
Reeder is not free it cost $9.99 in the Mac App Store but if you are a RSS junkie you will love reader. It looks polished and more like an OSX app should.
Its clean, fast and rich in features. It has lots of services integration including Readability, Twitter, Instapaper & more.
Reeders requieres a Google Reader account and thats exacly one the things I was looking for so no issues here.
If you have been a long time NNW and are looking for a better alternative this $10 app is worth the shot. I am considering downloading the iPhone & iPad version as well but haven't try them yet as I am giving MobileRSS a full month of testing and its still have 4 days left.
