Google+ is Google's Facebook (video)

Today Google launched its social platform. So far is called Google+ and is in limited preview so you will need an invite to open an account.

You can check the all the features like Circles, hangout, Sparks and Instant upload at the Google+ Project site.

While Google already have Orkut and Buzz Google+ seem to offer a lot and have the potential to hit Facebook monopoly on social.

I am all for it. While Google have had some privacy misdeed in the past Facebook position on Privacy is troubling.

Also competition is good so a strong competitor to Facebook will be good for consumer. I haven't receive an invite yet but I will be testing the site as soon as I get one.
