Google Plus Will Succeed Even If Facebook Dominates

After trying Google Plus and been a Gmail user since day one. I want to write this short post to have it on record that I strongly believe Google Plus will be a hit. 

It do not need to be the number one social network. While it can sure be someday but it can still be a strong number two or three.

I remember when I got my Gmail invite back in April of 2004. No one knew what the hell Gmail was and when people started to talk about it it wasn't good.

Many said Gmail will never stand a chance against Yahoo, Hotmail and AOL. Well I can bet there are more active Gmail accounts that AOL's right now and if Hotmail and Yahoo lead is not by much.

So at the end of a slow start Gmail was a success not by offering something new we all know webmail were around but for improving gradually and offering a better and cleaner interface and is getting even better today I got to preview the new web interface that is coming soom and is a beauty.

Google Plus have the same potential to grow to be huge like I said before it do not need to be the number one. Facebook can have 1-2 billion active user at some point but that will not make a social network with let said 500m-1 billion much less powerful. 

I am not a strangers collector because I believe privacy is important (not like a Mike I know at Facebook) So I do not have a "friend" list in the thousands. So the Google Plus Circle concept while similar to Facebook lists will make it easier to have more people but on a place of my choosing and sharing only what that place deserve.

I also distrust Facebook and I know a major screw up will happen eventually pushing many folks to Google Plus.

When Buzz & Wave came out I got invites too. I joined played around for a while and say good bye. But not now. I am actually exited about Google Plus and I know over time many will be too. 

Google Plus will succeed I said that today July 1st 2011. And yes I want Google to beat Facebook if possible. Why? Because Google is a company with a mission and one that provide me with tons of services I use every day and most of them "free" while subsidized by ads.  Facebook on the other hands only have my friends hostages and that's it. 

One more thing if there are a ton of misspelling please excuse me I have been awake for 46 hours without any rest and I am starting to feel really weak I will try to rest now I just needed to write this quick post.
