Verizon To Discriminate Against Customers With Unlimited Data Plans

Omar Morales Ah we have to love big red appreciation for its customers or lack of it for that matter.
It seem Apple and Verizon are having a small issue with the upcoming iOS 5 release. As like always Apple want a consistent experience for all users. But Verizon want to discriminate against user who have unlimited data plans.
And how they want to do it?
When iOS 5 launches along the upcoming iPhone 5/4S it will have the ability to do Facetime over 3G. But Verizon wants to limit the feature to customers who only have tiered data plans and those with unlimited plans will be left behind.
This is bad really bad because it sets a precedent and can be used on other devices and features in order to push customers to move to a tiered plan. The logic will be to cripple the unlimited plan so bad that it will be useless.
At least in this case Apple is fighting back but we only have to wonder what other schemes is Verizon planning to harm its customers.
We just hope the At&t T-Mobile deal do not happen because that will just embolden both At&t & Verizon even more and harm us all.
