Google Joins Apple And ForSee Against Patent Troll Lodsys

Well it was about time. When the patent troll Lodsys started sending threatening letters and then suing iOS and Android developers about three months ago alleging infringement on patents regarding in app purchases people wondered if Apple and Google will step in. 

And in fact Apple did step in rather quickly first sending an open letter stating that they had a licence from Lodsys that covers it developer and then filing a motion to intervene on the lawsuits filed by Lodsys.

But until now Google had been quiet even when Android developers were been targeted by Lodsys. But today reports surfaced that Google has asked the USPTO to review two of the four patents they are using to target developers.

So with Apple, ForSee and now Google backing developers against this troll we hope to see a positive outcome to this drama.
