Will Regulators Approve The Google & Motorola Deal? [opinion]

Omar Morales With no doubt there will be opposition to the proposed acquisition of Motorola Mobility by Google.
Google is already facing antitrust inquiries regarding search and mobile by the FTC and the EU and this purchase will be strongly scrutinize.
I bet Microsoft will be raising some concerns as well as other OEMs and licences. But it will be hard for regulators to block this deal from happening if they do not block a more preposterous and important deal the $39b acquisition of T-Mobile by At&t.
If the goverment fails to block such a deal they will not have the moral ground to block the Motorola purchase by Google. The At&t deal has recieved an overwhelming oppostion ranging from consumers, senators and competitors.
So either the FTC block both deals or approve both but it will not be able to block Googles deal if it allow At&t to go ahead. And with At&t throwing money around to buy support for the deal and the government failures to protect consumer from monopolies I bet the At&t deal will go on.
That means Google will be able to buy Motorola with minimal issues.
