Motorola Investor Sue Motorola & Google Over Buyout

John W. Keating a Motorola Mobility investor has filed a lawsuit against Motorola its CEO Sanjay Jha and Google and it seeking class-action status.

Mr. Keating sued because he argues that Motorola sold itself to cheap to Google. Google had agree to purchase Motorola at $40 a share that represent a 63% premium over its market value and has a total cost of $12.5 billions.

I don't think I am alone when thinking that Google is already over paying for Motorola and while is true the company has a large patent portfolio the price still looks high.

We will have to wait and see how this unfold but with a 63% return on investment I bet Mr. Keating will have a hard time proving its case.
