RCN Sued For Hijacking URLs: I Knew It [video]

Watch in 720p full screen.

Today many reports surfaced about ISP hijacking searches and urls. Well is now been reported that New York law firms Reese Richman and Milberg is suing RCN Corp and Paxfire for their actions in this scheme and is seeking class-action status.

Well the video above was made in late 2009 when I noticed this. I typed tivo.com on the address bar but instead of sending me directly to Tivo I went trough an affiliate link that I am guessing originated from Commission Junction.

I don't believe that RCN is still doing this as I haven't see it happening but that do not mean is not happening behind the scene.

I like RCN their service is pretty good but I don't like when my ISP sniff around what I am doing so I hope they aren't doing it anymore.
